If you’re just getting started then it can be helpful to have one-on-one or semi-private coaching.
If you’re within a 20 minute drive of Oakley, then depending on the time, I can work with you at your home. I also train clients at Power 3 Fitness in Silverton.
Your initial costs for setting up a home workout space are low. It doesn’t take much to get started – a fairly open room, adjustable dumbbells, an exercise mat, and some way (furniture, stairs, etc.) to adjust the leverage on certain movements to make them easier or more challenging.
Point A to Point B
As a coach, I believe it’s my job to help clients get from Point A to Point B. That’s a lot of short term, realistic goals that fit within the givens of their life. (Age, time available to train, fitness level, etc.)
That means doing the same thing a lot – you can still have 2 or 3 workouts to rotate through the week, but it doesn’t mean constantly changing them up.
That’s a common mistake.
Instead, if you set short term goals and stick with them, that is what will take you from Point A to Point B.
This isn’t to say that there isn’t room for creativity around the edges, but the main part of the work should be oriented towards a specific outcome.
Can I ask a few questions about getting set up before getting started?
Absolutely. Email me and we can set up a time to talk.
How do I get started?
Email me at 513fit@gmail.com with “Personal Training” in the subject line. In the email let me know:
- Are you just starting, are you on again/off again, or consistent with your training?
- Have you done strength training before?
- How old are you?
- Are you working around any injuries?
- Do you want to train in a gym, at your home, or a combination of the two?
